Date first patient entered: September 2004
Target Accrual: 750
Aim: The hypothesis to be tested is that early intervention with androgen
deprivation therapy (ADT) in patients with prostate cancer suffering a
PSA relapse (Study 1), or considered unsuitable for curative treatment
(Study 2), improves overall survival while maintaining an acceptable quality
of life, when compared to delayed intervention. The primary endpoint of
the trial will be overall survival.
