NSW Program for 2008

The Radiology Network of the Greater Metropolitan Clinical Taskforce (GMCT) will continue to promote Radiology education in its 2007 Lecture Series in conjunction with the Royal Australian New Zealand College of Radiologists (RANZCR), the Australian Institute of Radiography (AIR) and the Medical Imaging Nursing Association of Australia (MINA).

The program will differ from other years as the Radiographers/Radiology Nurses/Registrars videoconferencing Lecture Series (5-6pm) will be held on the same evening as the Radiologists' dinner and Lecture Series (6.15 - 8.30pm) in the Kerry Packer Auditorium at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. This will allow attendance at both for any clinician 'live' on site.

The provisional program for 2008 is set down for the following Tuesday evenings:
13 March, 12 August, 14 October

CPD Program for Rural Fellows

The Victorian Branch has been instrumental in facilitating innovative CPD programs for Rural Fellows. Through funding from the Support Scheme for Rural Specialists, a joint initiative of the Commonwealth of Health and Ageing and the Committee of Presidents of Medical Colleges, the RANZCR provides four state of the art programs that give rural and regional specialists the same opportunities as their city colleagues to meet, discuss cases and at the same time add to their CPD points. These programs are coordinated by the Victorian Branch on behalf of the College and the Faculty of Radiation Oncology:

  • Case reviews from the Alfred Hospital Radiology Team
  • RANZCR Victorian Branch Monthly Scientific Meetings
  • Interventional Radiology
  • Videoconference Series “Current Issues in Oncology for Medical Specialists”
