There is always need for educators to travel to interesting South Pacific Island to teach plain film reporting,
ultrasound, and interventional techniques. The only problem is funding. Most volunteers need to be self funded. Some of
the corporate radiology practices may be willing to fund a one or two week trip.
College Members interested in joining the South Pacific Liaison Reference Group can email Dr Peter Scally,
p.scally@uq.edu.au. New members are always welcome.
Educational visits to Fiji, Tonga, Western Samoa, and the Solomon Islands.
The group is working with the WHO and is the lead group in planning and running an education course in Fiji for
radiographers in the South Pacific.
