5.1 Reviewer

Definition: Formal peer review of articles submitted to professional journals; review of grant applications (eg. National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) Grant Assessor); Member of Australasian Radiology Editorial Board.

Points Credited: 2 points per hour
Maximum per year: no cap
Verification Required: Statement from granting body or letter from institution.

5.2 Participant

Definition: Active participant in a research project which has a radiology/medial imaging input; principal or co-investigator of an institution approved research project.

Examples:
Writing grant applications; developing research protocols; forming cross-modality collaborations; actively contributing to clinical trials; acting as principal investigator of a research project; acting as co-investigator of a research project.

5.3 Sabbatical by Research

Definition: A Sabbatical is a period of release from normal duties to engage in research or other scholarly work.  A report is usually required at the end of a Sabbatical period.  Generally a Sabbatical period is 6 months duration, however 12 month Sabbaticals will also be credited.

Points Credited: 60 points per year, 30 points per 6 months
Maximum per year: no cap
Verification Required: Diary of activity or Sabbatical Report
