7.1A RANZCR Meetings

Definition: RANZCR ASM, NZ Branch ASM or other RANZCR convened meetings.

Examples:
ASM, NZ Branch ASM, Branch Monthly Scientific Meetings, Support Scheme for Rural Specialists (SSRS) Case Clubs.

Special Case:
       Preparation of pre-videoconference quizzes and return to the College Rural CPD program earns 1 point per quiz

Note: attendance by videoconference is given the same points as attendance in person

Points Credited: 1 point per hour for 100% of sessions attended
Maximum per year: no cap
Verification Required:  Registration & Program or certificate of attendance or listing of attendees. 

7.1B Clinical Meetings

Definition: Institution or practice convened Clinical meetings.

Examples:
Interesting Case meetings, In-house Meetings, Hospital Lectures.

Note: attendance by videoconference is given the same points as attendance in person

Points Credited: 1 point per hour for 100% of sessions attended
Maximum per year: no cap
Verification Required:  Certificate of attendance or listing of attendees.  For Clinical Meetings a diary record, or self declaration, with confirmation of meeting from organisation is sufficient.

7.2 Meetings of Affiliated Australian & New Zealand Special Interest Groups & Societies

Definition: Meetings directed/convened by College radiology craft groups and affiliated Australian/New Zealand special interest societies.

Examples:
Interventional Radiological Society of Australasia (IRSA), Australian Musculoskeletal Imaging Group (AMSIG), Australian & New Zealand Society of Neuro Radiology (ANZSNR), Australian Society of Paediatric Imaging (ASPI), Australasian Society for Ultrasound in Medicine (ASUM), Breast Special Interest, Australian and New Zealand Society of Nuclear Medicine (ANZSNM applicable to those participants credentialed in nuclear medicine/PET).

Points Credited: 1 point per hour for 100% of sessions attended
Maximum per year: 50 points
Verification Required: Registration & Program or certificate of attendance or program & listing of attendees.

7.3 Major International Radiology Conferences

Definition:List of conferences recognised by the CPD Committee.  Current list: RSNA, American Roentgen Ray Society (ARRS), Society of Nuclear Medicine (SNM), European Congress of Radiology (ECR), International Congress of Radiology (ICR), Asia Oceania Society of Radiology (AOSR), United Kingdom Radiological Congress (UKRC); European Association of Nuclear Medicine (EANM), International Society for Magnetic Resonance Imaging in Medicine (ISMRM).

Points Credited: 1 point per hour for 100% of sessions attended
Maximum per year: no cap
Verification Required: Registration & Program or certificate of attendance or program & listing of attendees.

7.4 Imaging Conferences

Definition: CPD/CME type meetings designed primarily to educate radiologists.

Examples:
Hong Kong Radiology Meeting, Imaging on the Gold Coast

Points Credited: 1 point per hour for 100% of sessions attended.
Onus of proof: rests with the participant claiming points.  In the event of an audit the participant should be able to furnish sufficient substantiation to prove that the teaching provided was relevant to radiology, and was of a standard at least comparable to item 7.1.  (Note that for participants credentialed in nuclear medicine/PET, analogous criteria apply for nuclear medicine and PET respectively)
Maximum per year: 50 points
Verification Required: Registration & Program or certificate of attendance or program & listing of attendees.

7.5 General Medical Conferences

Definition: CPD/CME or research meetings not designed to educate specifically radiologists.

Examples:
Australian Medical Association (AMA) Congress.

Points Credited: 1 point per hour for 50% of sessions attended
Maximum per year: 20 points
Verification Required: Registration & Program or certificate of attendance or program & listing of attendees.

7.6 Practical Skills Workshops

Definition: Small-group hands-on workshop designed to impart a particular manual or interpretative skill; the participant actively practices the skill at least some of the workshop time with one-on-one supervision and instruction.

Examples:
Animal model interventional workshops; case-based one-on-one mammography interpretation workshops, ASUM workshops.

Points Credited: 3 points per hour for 100% of sessions attended
Maximum per year: no cap
Verification Required: Registration & Program or certificate of attendance or program & listing of attendees.

7.7 Convening of Meetings

Branch Scientific Meetings, IRSA, AMSIG, ANZSNR, ASPI, ASUM, Breast Special Interest.  ANZSNM: Australian and New Zealand Society of Nuclear Medicine applicable to those participants credentialed in nuclear medicine/PET.

Verification Required: For the RANZCR ASM the College will verify.  Registration & Program or Declaration from Meeting Organiser.
