What is Continuing Professional Development (CPD)?

Continuing Professional Development (CPD) consists of any educational activity that helps Fellows and Educational Affiliates to maintain, develop or increase knowledge, problem-solving, technical skills or professional performance standards all with the goal of providing better health care.

There are two CPD programs, one for Radiology and another for Radiation Oncology. CPD activities are submitted on an annual basis through CPD online in the RANZCR Learning Portal. CPD online allows you to enter, maintain and manage your CPD activities and provide evidence of completed activities anytime from anywhere.

For more information on the RANZCR Learning Portal please click here.

Compliance with Continuing Professional Development (CPD) is mandated by The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists

For information on the framework that informs learning and development activities of the College.

The College is required to audit a percentage of Fellows annually to ensure the maintenance of a high quality program. The aim of this audit is to ensure the Fellowship is professionally engaged, hence facilitating improved service and patient care.

The RANZCR CPD Program is a self-directed and self-reporting program. Information and guidelines for providers can be viewed here.
