Radiation Oncology is an exciting and continually evolving area of practise which involves direct patient care, exciting technological developments and great opportunities to engage in multi-disciplinary teams.
Speciality training as a Radiation Oncologist is undertaken after completion of a medical degree and at least two years post-graduate clinical training. The Faculty of Radiation Oncology is the specialist medical college responsible for the training and assessment.
To enter the training program, potential trainees first need to obtain a position at an accredited site. The Faculty accredits centres to provide training which meets standards in areas such as trainee to consultant ratio and a capacity and commitment to provide a quality teaching and learning environment.
