Advanced Training Positions (formerly known as fellowship positions) are designed to allow registrars who have successfully completed both the FRANZCR Part II examination and four years of accredited training to obtain specific training in Australia or New Zealand in a particular area or sub-specialty of medical imaging.

The Education Board has developed criteria for the approval of fifth year Advanced Training Positions. All Departments and practices must apply to the College for recognition of any new Advanced Training Positions. Positions should not be advertised unless they have been approved through the College process.
