The Part I consists of examinations in Anatomy and Applied Imaging Technology.
The Part I examination may only be
sat by candidates who occupy accredited training positions. Candidates
are not permitted to sit the Part I subjects separately.
Preparation for the Part I examination is based on personal study and
attendance at various courses. In the larger centres, the number of candidates
allows for comprehensive lecture programs and tutorials to be conducted.
In order to meet the needs of candidates from smaller centres, very detailed
syllabi and reading lists are provided, both in Anatomy and Applied Imaging
Technology and are updated on a regular basis.
In both Anatomy and Applied Imaging Technology, radiologists are involved
in both the setting and marking of the papers in association with anatomists
and physicists. Examiners are selected by the Education Board of the RANZCR
on the basis of their experience and proven interest in these areas.
