The RANZCR endorses the principle of part-time training. The trainee
is required to seek approval from their head of department and all arrangements
should be approved at the department level before seeking approval from
the Chief Censor. Should part-time training be undertaken, a minimum of
50% full-time equivalent is encouraged.
The RANZCR endorses that maternity leave, paternity leave or extended
periods of sick leave and absence from the training program should not
be counted towards a registrars' five year training requirement. The trainee
is required to seek approval from their head of department and all arrangements
should be approved at the department level before seeking approval from
the Chief Censor.
