This committee is responsible for developing policies to ensure that
physical and human resources are explicitly recognised and considered
in regard to the planning and development of existing and future facilities.
This work feeds directly into the work of the Government and Regulatory
Affairs Committee.
This is done by collecting and analysing data relating to the delivery
of radiotherapy services to the Australian and New Zealand communities.
Specifically this involves:
- Collecting and maintaining accurate data about the current state
of services in
- Australia and New Zealand, specifically through the conduct of a facility
survey.
- Conducting an undue delay/waiting time survey
- Reviewing the basis for existing planning parameters, for example,
the CARO study to review individual workload benchmarks.
- Providing advice (in conjunction with the Quality Improvement Committee)
to the Faculty Board concerning the optimum size of services of departments/services,
population, staffing base issues etc e.g. the Single Machine Unit Trial.
