The Tripartite Committee comprises representatives from:
Radiation Treatment Services Quality
Program The Tripartite Committee is currently undertaking the development of standards
for radiation treatment services. This project is being funded by the
Department of Health and Ageing (DHA) and is to be completed by 2010. The project is being developed by the profession and a process for peer review of content for the program has been developed. Project Management Group
Information about the project will be added to this page on a regular basis. 1st Dispatch - This document, advising of initial information about the Quality Program was issued in May 2005, and since then Dispatches II (Oct 05), III (Feb 06) and IV (May 07) have been circulated. Please refer to the Document Library on this website for the more recent editions, including Dispatch IV. A discussion paper “Developing Standards for Radiation Treatment Services” was produced in November 2005 and is now available in the Document Library. Between September 2006 and February 2007, a set of draft standards were written by the professions and these are currently undergoing a wide review within the radiation oncology community. Following this review, the draft standards will be revised before being piloted in a number of facilities. Please check this site for further updates. The Faculty acts as the secretariat for this Committee.
