Objectives

The Faculty has the following objectives:

  1. to promote the study of and the advancement of knowledge in the field of Radiation Oncology;
  2. to promote and encourage high levels of skill and expertise and high ethical standards in the practice of Radiation Oncology through a Continuing Professional Development program and by other means;
  3. to assure the quality and rigour of training and assessment of registrars in Radiation Oncology;
  4. to act as an authoritative body in matters of public interest in connection with the field of Radiation Oncology;
  5. to foster collaboration with clinicians and other health practitioners and other persons and organisations to further or advance knowledge in the field of Oncology, and Radiation Oncology specifically; and
  6. to encourage research in matters connected with the field of Radiation Oncology.

Faculty submission to National Health and Hospitals Reform Commission
The National Health and Hospitals Reform Commission (NHHRC) has been established to provide advice on the design of Australia’s future health system and has called for submissions from interested organisations in relation to its Terms of Reference and Draft Principles.
Clinical Information Access Program
Radiation Oncology Resources purchased by the Cancer Institute NSW for Clinical Information Access Program (CIAP) users statewide are now available.
