Specialist Recognition Fee Increase

As of 1st April 2008, the RANZCR application fee for specialist recognition of overseas trained specialists will be AUD$1400.

This fee is payable when submitting the Form SC to the College after receiving the appropriate advice from the Australian Medical Council.

If the applicant is applying for Area of Need and Specialist Recognition concurrently, the combined fee for both assessments is AUD$4700.

Letters of Support for Occupational Training Visas

As of 1st January 2008, all applicants requiring letters of support for Occupational Training Visas (OTV) for overseas trained specialists will be required to submit the following additional documentation:

  1. evidence of post graduate training in Radiology or Radiation Oncology from the applicant
  2. copy of the IELTS certificate or English language proficiency, where applicable

Breast Imaging Research Fellowships
The Cancer Institute NSW Breast Imaging Fellowship Program, valued at up to $142,156 per annum, is designed to provide six to twelve months of in-depth training and possible research assistance for newly qualified radiologist*. This program aims to further support breast cancer diagnosis improvement, research and best practice.
