A range of point of care tools for use by practitioners and patients have been developed to facilitate implementation of the guideline.
We recommend that this be printed in A3 size and placed prominently in the CT room so that it is easy to see and follow in the case of an adverse event. The content of this chart was provided to RANZCR courtesy of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anesthetists.
We recommend that this chart be placed prominently near the emergency cart (however named) in the CT room to ensure the cart is always appropriately stocked.
This information sheet is intended to be handed out to patients who are undergoing a contrast-enhanced CT examination.
This questionnaire is provided for patients to fill in prior to receiving an iodinated contrast CT.
The assessment guide is intended for health practitioner use only providing guidance on appropriate action if any risks are identified in the Patient Questionnaire.
This is a sample letter for patients to give to the referring practitioner, if it is recommended that metformin is not take for a period of time after the contrast-enhanced CT. The letter is provided in Microsoft Word format so that individual details can be inserted.
