Standards and Accreditation Requirements Package

Sample policies and procedures

Many practices have asked the College for assistance with writing policies and procedures which are a requirement of the RANZCR Accreditation Standards. In response to these requests, the Accreditation Guidelines and Quality Committee has collected a number of sample documents from a range of practices.

The Committee would like to thank the following practices for their generous permission to reproduce their documents:

Practices should be aware that no evaluation of these documents has been made and the College does not guarantee that these examples comply with the College standards. The examples provided here are to be used as a guide only. It is each practice's responsibility to ensure that it meets the RANZCR Accreditation standards and that its documented policies and procedures are adequate and relevant to their own practice. Policies and procedures must reflect actual procedures and methods of practice.

Release of RANZCR Standards of Practice for Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology Version 9.0
The College is pleased to announce the release of the new RANZCR Standards of Practice for Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology Version 9.0. This new version of the RANZCR Standards supersedes all previous versions.

Mandatory Accreditation
The Department of Health and Ageing has now announced the appointment of four accreditation bodies to provide the services for Registration and Stage 1 Accreditation for the Commonwealth’s Diagnostic Imaging Accreditation Scheme. These providers are:
