The release of Version 9.0 of the RANZCR Standards of Practice for Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology provides a new, restructured suite of standards to support the specialist practice of Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology in Australia and New Zealand.
This standards document is more closely aligned in structure to how diagnostic and interventional radiology are practiced, and now includes quality management principles previously relied upon in ISO 17025. These standards are designed for Radiologists, but may be applied to all practice settings where diagnostic imaging is performed.
The release of Version 9.0 of the College standards also marks a milestone in the development of the RANZCR/NATA Accreditation Program which will shortly apply the Version 9.0 Standards as the sole accreditation requirements for the RANZCR/NATA Program. These standards will also inform the development of standards to underpin the Department of Health and Ageing’s Diagnostic Imaging Accreditation Scheme.
Please download a copy of the standards by clicking here (please note that you need to be logged in to the RANZCR website in order to access the standards).
The College welcomes feedback and suggestions for improvements that can be made to the standards. Please contact the Manager, Quality and Accreditation if you wish to seek further information, or provide feedback or suggestions in relation to the standards.
