The safe and effective practice of modern medicine draws on the outputs of health and medical research and a commitment to evidence-based clinical decision-making. Clinicians need to be research literate and research active, using their reflections on problems encountered on the ground to generate research questions to improve health outcomes.
RANZCR is committed to fostering a culture of research and has developed a Research Action Plan to provide direction in respect of priorities and focus. We actively promote research by including it in the training program and encouraging its ongoing inclusion in the professional lives of our members.
