The Radiation Oncology Learning Portfolio is a companion document to the new Radiation Oncology Training Program Curriculum which contains the Assessment Toolkit. Please refer to the following documents for information on the Learning Portfolio and Assessment Toolkit.
• How to use the Learning Portfolio and Learning Portfolio declarations
The primary purpose of the Learning Portfolio is to capture “evidence” of each trainee’s learning over the course of the training program which demonstrates that the trainee has acquired the specified competencies of the radiation oncologist.
There are minimum requirements for each phase of the program, for example the completion of the required number of Clinical Assignments, Mini-Clinical Evaluation Exercises, Director of Training Assessments, etc. The minimum requirements are listed in the following:
• Phase 1 Trainee Progression Summary
• Phase 1 Assessment Details and Rules of Progression
• Phase 2 Trainee Progression Summary
• Phase 2 Assessment Details and Rules of Progression
Within the Learning Portfolio resides the Assessment Toolkit for Trainees. The Assessment Toolkit has been developed for trainees as a tool to aid orientation to the current training program curriculum and in particular the new assessment tools.
