Curriculum

The Curriculum in the Current Training Program

The requirements of the current program are contained in the RANZCR Radiation Oncology Training Program Curriculum, which can be viewed or downloaded as a complete document or in sections.

The curriculum document outlines the structure of the training program, the knowledge and skills that you are expected to develop and the nature of the various assessments that occur throughout the training program.

When reading and using the curriculum, it is important to familiarise yourself with the structure of the document. The introductory chapters detail the important links between the different sections of the curriculum.

In particular, it is essential that the Medical Expert Supplements (MES) be used in conjunction with the Radiation Oncology Central Knowledge and Skills Summary (ROCKSS). MES direct the trainee to areas of study that are in some way particular or unique to the topic in question. In contrast, the ROCKSS competencies form the core requirements for all topics, regardless of tumour site or clinical scenario.
