Current Training Program

The current radiodiagnosis curriculum, introduced from 1 December 2009, is a five-year program conducted in two phases:

  • Phase 1 – three years of general radiology training
  • Phase 2 – two years of systems–focused (as distinguished from subspecialty) rotations for advanced radiology training.

For trainees in the current Radiodiagnosis Training Program (entering from 1 December 2009):

  • All curriculum content is assessable and or examinable.
  • All must complete the full five years of training before full-time subspecialty fellowships can be commenced.
  • All must meet the assessment requirements (formative and summative) of the current Radiodiagnosis Training Program.

The requirements of the current program are contained in the Radiodiagnosis Training Program Curriculum, which can be viewed or downloaded as a complete document or in sections.
