The Trainee Information Management System (TIMS) will manage trainees’ assessments according to the progression requirements of the training program. It will function as a repository for assessment submission (e-Portfolio) and will direct assessment evaluation workflows. Trainees and Directors of Training will be given access via the RANZCR Learning Portal.
Development is underway and TIMS will launch this year.
Please refer to the links below for information flyers and other articles regarding TIMS..

After you have logged into the Learning Portal, TIMS access will be automatically granted to the following members:
TIMS will appear as an option to select in the black navigation bar of the Learning Portal and will only be visible to those members who have access to it.
Privacy and confidentiality is of utmost concern to the College and ensuring that TIMS is only accessed by the appropriate members has been carefully considered. Each trainee will have their own TIMS profile. This profile can only be accessed by their DoT and the College's Training Assessment and Accreditation (TAA) Unit. In Radiation Oncology, the TND also has access, along with the ESOs.
The method we use to determine who has access to a trainee’s profile is dependent upon the trainee’s training site. The trainee's home or base site is termed their main training site. Where the trainee is currently training is their current training site. This can be the same site as their main training site or could be where they have rotated to. A DoT is attached to the trainee's current training site. The DoT at this site can access all trainees' profiles whilst they train at this site. Please note, that if there is more than one DoT at a training site, i.e. in a job-sharing role, both DoTs will be able to access the trainees’ profiles at that particular site.
It is imperative that trainees always update TIMS when they rotate or change their current training sites. Keeping TIMS updated will enable the privacy of your TIMS profile to be upheld via correct access permissions. This system of rotations is linked to the TATS/TATTs assessments which will lead to more comprehensive feedback on training sites.
In the radiation oncology training program, the TND will have access to all trainees' profiles within their network. In order to support the work of the TND, the ESOs will have read-only access to trainees within the network. Please note, that ESOs only have limited profile access so they can track progression, i.e. assessment completion; and will not be able to view any content within assessment submissions.
This webpage will be regularly updated so please save this page in your favourites! Articles will appear in Inside News, Training e-News and the College and Faculty e-News from October 2012.
Similar to the resources for the LMS, user guides, assessment submission instructions and FAQs will be created in due course and be made readily available when TIMS is launched in 2013.
Please note that after TIMS is launched, the assessment instructions and associated materials will be housed in the Help section of TIMS. All other Learning Portfolio and information pertaining to progression rules will remain on the College website.
