Wellbeing for Trainees

As specialists in training, it can be challenging to balance the competing demands of your professional and personal commitments. The College prioritises the wellbeing of trainees, understanding that a healthy workforce is integral to the quality of patient care and the sustainability of our professions.

The Trainee Liaison Officer (TLO) role supports trainees in both radiation oncology (RO) and clinical radiology (CR) training programs within Australia, Singapore & NZ.

Life in general can be stressful and provide many challenges. As a RANZCR trainee, sometimes the demands of the specialty training program can add to life's stresses. If this is happening to you or someone you know, the TLO is your college contact to help with issues and / or concerns.

Practical and confidential support is provided in a safe and transparent manner.  All metro, regional and rural trainees are eligible to access the TLO service.

TLO service offers:

  • check-ins on your overall wellbeing
  • advice and guidance in a wide range of areas
  • support with examination anxiety and stress
  • updates on key issues or changes made by the college, that may impact trainees.

The TLO has many tools and resources to help a trainee maintain a healthy trainee-work-life balance. Don't wait until life becomes too hard or unbearable! It's always better to be proactive rather than reactive!
